 If you are not a British citizen, but want to take advantage of the UK's quality education and training system, you can apply for a student visa. Foreign students wishing to study in the UK have two options now. They can apply under the category of student visitor when the study period is up to six months. This visa is not extensible and cannot work during your studies. Another option is to apply for a general level 4 student visa. If the study is for 12 months or more, students can stay in the UK, the study period plus four months. They are also entitled to work 20 hours per week during their studies and throughout the study leave period.
