Student visa

 If you are not a British citizen, but want to take advantage of the UK's quality education and training system, you can apply for a student visa. Foreign students wishing to study in the UK have two options now. They can apply under the category of student visitor when the study period is up to six months. This visa is not extensible and cannot work during your studies. Another option is to apply for a general level 4 student visa. If the study is for 12 months or more, students can stay in the UK, the study period plus four months. They are also entitled to work 20 hours per week during their studies and throughout the study leave period. Students who choose to study in 6-12 months, Level 4 for the opportunity to stay in the UK for more than two months after testing. Courses lasting less than six months, Level 4, students can stay for one week after testing.

To apply for a Tier 4 student visa in the UK, you must take a course at an acceptable level with a training provider (also called a fund). This means that the student must attend a higher education organization, which is listed on the Tier 4 Sponsor Registry and obtain confirmation of acceptance of studies from there. Applicants must also provide proof of sufficient funds to cover tuition and living expenses.
